To All MQHA Members and Exhibitors
I’d like to thank you for your continued support. Our horse show numbers continue to grow and I am proud to say we run some of the largest affiliate shows in the country. Like many organizations, with growth comes certain "growing pains".
As your current president and an exhibitor, I experience many
of these first hand. I am diligently working on addressing the
issues we are currently facing. One of my immediate concerns
is the length of our shows. We have received many great ideas and are looking at ways to reduce the length of the shows
while giving everyone fair time in the ring.
I’m asking for everyone’s help with this. Please enter for
classes in a timely manner, preferably at least two classes before yours. Did you know entry forms can be found online? The office will accept entries via fax or email. If you are not going to show, please scratch prior to the class. As a courtesy, as well as a safety standpoint, please exit the arena quickly when a water/drag vehicle enters.
This will not suddenly make the show hours shorter, but helps tremendously with keeping classes running smoothly and the horse show management organized.
We have a great organization and membership base that I am proud to serve. Thank you everyone for your understanding
as we work through these opportunities to improve.
MQHA President, Tiffany Weitzel

How to find your eligibility for AQHA Rookie and/or Novice Classes. For Rookie eligibility both the Horse and the Exhibitor need to be Rookie, meaning as a team you can not have more than 10 lifetime points in that class. Example: Joe Exhibitor has 5 Showmanship points and Horse has 3 Showmanship points = 8 points total, that team is eligible for the Rookie Showmanship Class.
