Equine Connection Clinic Schedule
Friday, January 30 – Every age, every skill level welcome!
- 6:30 pm Horse Judging Clinic with AQHA Professional Horseman, Chris Dalton. “Scoring Trail”. This judging clinic continues at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday morning with a judging contest. $15 preregistered or $20 at the door.
Saturday, January 31 – Every age, every skill level welcome!
- 8:30 am Horse Judging Contest – ($15 pre-registered or $20 at the door.)
- Free Classroom Clinics by Tribute Feed “Basic Nutrition”, Shawn Frisbee “The Judge’s Perspective” and Ryan Lindsay “Horseshoeing and Hoof Care”. First session begins at 1:00 pm.
- 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Arena Clinic – Showmanship Level 1 (bring your own horse), with AQHA Professional Horseman, Ryan Cottingim. Participation in the clinic is limited to 12 and cost is $50.
- Arena audit charge is $15 per day pre-registered or $20 at the door for both Saturday arena sessions.
- 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm Arena Clinic – Horsemanship Level 1 (bring your own horse), with AQHA Professional Horseman, Ryan Cottingim. Participation in the clinic is limited to 12 and cost is $50.
Sunday, February 1
- 8:00 am to 10:00 am Arena Clinic – Showmanship Level 2 (bring your own horse), with AQHA Professional Horseman, Ryan Cottingim. Participation in the clinic is limited to 12 and the cost is $50.
- Audit charge is $15 per day pre-registered or $20 at the door for all three Sunday arena sessions.
- 9:00 am to noon – Hippology Contest $15 pre-registered or $20 at the door
- 11 am to 1:00 pm Arena Clinic Horsemanship Level 2 (bring your own horse), with AQHA Professional Horseman, Ryan Cottingim. Participation in the clinic is limited to 12 and the cost is $50.
- 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Trail Clinic* (bring your own horse), with AQHA Professional Horseman, Ryan Cottingim. Participation in the clinic is limited to 12 and the cost is $50.
Other Details:
- Level 1 Clinics are for those who want to work on fundamentals.
- Level 2 Clinics are for those with some show experience who wish to refine their skills.
- *The Trail Clinic is offered for riders with some experience and who are able to get around a trail course.
- Pre-registration is offered and encouraged.
- Ryan Cottingim Clinics are limited to 12 per session. Multiple sessions receive a discount.
- 4H Clubs with more than 5 attending either day receive a $5 per person discount if pre-registered under their 4H Club.
- Pre-registration ends on January 19. Register by Dec. 23 to ensure you receive our Equine Connection Weekend T-shirt.
- Event Stalls are $60 each with two bags of bedding. Addtional bedding can be purchased through MQHA.
